This week we begin a serial reading of the Gospel of Mark. My first warning is the pace of Mark: it is fast! My second caution concerns that drama associated with the Spirit that Jesus bears into the world: it is dramatic! Between the pace and the drama, there is precious little time to reflect and ponder; but that’s Mark’s intention: to dazzle you with the brilliance of Jesus, the light we know and follow. Please join us as we read through Mark…and pause in response to ponder and prayer. Thank you for coming along on this journey in light.
Psalms for this week are: Monday: Ps.145 Tuesday: Ps.18: 1-20 Wednesday: Ps 109
Thursday: Ps. 47 Friday Ps. 50.
Prayers: are from Daily Prayers from PCUSA liturgy (Monday – Friday); petitions submitted from Second Presbyterian Church members and friends (all are welcome to submit directly to me at kay.huggins@me.com ); the Lord’s Prayer, and a pastoral blessing.
